A local driver says he "finally won" a four-year argument with his satnav on Tuesday, after it admitted that a road it had insisted on since 2022 "does not exist and never did".

He celebrated with a lap of honour around the village. Moments later the satnav said "turn left now". He did. The car is in the duck pond.

The satnav has declined to apologise. It has, however, recalculated, and now lists the pond as "your destination". The ducks have lodged a formal complaint about the parking.
